Ashes

Ashes into the ocean
And away you go for good
Your soul is now in Heaven
And your body in waters blue
Though we stand here in silence
Sadness etched into our souls
The waters keep on crashing
Washing away darkness untold
The ebb and flow of the tide
Is a testament to how life goes on
Everything has its moment
And it's unfortunate that yours is gone
For ashes we are raised from
And unto ashes we shall return
May your soul shine brightly in Heaven
Where the stars can feel your burn
