Ascension
You hear it as a whisper
Yet it doesn't make a sound
You see it in the tears
No longer running down
In your voice there is a tremble
On your face you wear a frown
Today the whole world fell apart
Your life has run aground
A sudden trepidation
As you look around
You search for answers
There aren't any to be found
Everything you knew before
Comes crashing to the floor
Your senses leave you reeling
As you stumble towards a door
A world of false realities
You're willing to explore
Mindful of the consequence
Curious for what’s in store
Your mind is ever changing
As each moment passes by
You haven't time for reason
Or to even question why
You witness evolution
As you step into the light
Looking down upon yourself
No longer fearing night
This is a new beginning
A coming of an age
A passing of the body
Once so full of rage
Mind transcends in spirit
Ascension of the soul
Crossing into afterlife
Once again becoming whole
