Ascension

I bask in open sunshine

I bathe in tranquil waters

Each moment pacifies my soul

I work to feed my hunger

I watch past seasons slumber

Well knowing time will take its toll

I subscribe to mend my faults 

I strive for strength and knowledge 

Believing wisdom comes with age

I laugh gasping my last breath

I lie silent in my grave

As I ascend another stage
