As They Come Alive

They recognize the passion of time

As He and His bride

Make the past come alive....

The waves

Where will they take them?

As a young man’s fancy

Comes alive with his Bride....

The kisses they were galore

Life of the clock

Was ticking for sure

Holding his bride never letting go....

What should they decide?

Where should they go?

Down to the lake

To live on golden shore....

Always to love

Always to keep

The deep abiding love!

That He made

Up on Cherish Hill....

They went

To make love for the first time

Making it special that he could

Find....

They couldn’t let go

As happy as they could be

For the love He found

Up on Cherish Hill!....

Love and the Wonder grew

As they loved and knew

They laughed with glee

The jokes that were told by he....

Near he draws

To the smells of her

Now day appears

Whose early day cares....

Such music

Before was never made

When the songs of morning sung

Let his silver chime

Move in wonderful time....

The happiness made him wept

A holy song

That his fancy would long

And help him keep strong....

Many stand in his door

Hoping and praying

For more....

The man so sweet

Understanding

Praying for love

On the golden shore

With His bride to be

As they came alive....

A very moving offering my friend. Such a long marriage. Surely filled with love and respect for such is needed to stay entwined together that long. Sorry to read your parents both are gone but memories, precious memories often keep us moving along. Bravo on the write!

I am not sure if I am reading this right. It seems like they are much older now and remembering the dreams, romance, of their youth.
