As the World Turns

As the world turns
It burns, with sameness.
All the "people" as we call them
are coded programmed clones
of whatever society tells them.
We are shameless.
As the world turns
It burns, just like our fickle passions
to please and appease the disease
of status quo.
It's an infection that's all too well
known.
As the world turns
It burns, itself to the ground.
From the sound of anger aimed
at any direction,
to the nights of violence cloaked
in shadows. To the have nots crying
as we chastise them for invading our
silence.
As the world turns
in the cradle of the solar system
it's lit up by the face of the Sun playing peek-a-boo
showing us it's radiance. Now as the world turns
will we continue to hide our face from truth and love?
Or will we let it radiate and drive the darkness out?
Let is burn away the infection.
