As the Sun Goes Down
As the sun goes down
At the end of the day
Some of us would have passed away
The sun will reappear tomorrow
Unconcerned about any sorrow
Or joy.
That yesterday brought to bear
The sun will still be there,
Shining in the sky.
Today
Today everywhere on earth
Women will give birth,
Giving life anew
To baby boys and girls
With chubby cheeks and golden curls
Making their debut
Entering the world today
Before today fades away
As the sun goes down.
