If God so loved the world
Why did he take back his
Only-begotten Son
Was his innocent blood really
Worth my intentional sins
Am I among the ones whose
eternal salvation is really only
Another confession and a display
Of emotion on a Sunday
After another week of weak devotion
And a reckless Saturday
Baptize me at the dawn of
Each and every new day
As the Son Rises again
And again
