As the Monarch Flies

About 6 months ago I hired a friend of mines son. I have known my friend since grammar school and have hung around with him many times through-out my life. His son was 31 years old and was great worker, a great father to his son, and an all around beautiful person. I can say so much more wonderful things about John but my heart weeps and I would have to write a book. John had lost his life 2 days ago as he was tragically hit by a car while crossing the street. My heart goes out to him and his family. Sometimes life just doesn't seem to be fair :( R.I.P. John Jr.

As I watch a monarch flying gracefully amongst the breeze And I watch the slow motion movement of the leaves on the trees As I close my eyes and hear his echoed speaks And I hear the tweets from a cardinals beaks As I watch the drifting of the bright white cloud And I hear his voice so clear so loud As I weep in heart and softly cry And I ask the lord how come and why As I pray for his family his friends his son And I try to understand why he was the one As I sit and stare with tears in my eyes And I blow some love as the monarch flies Dedicated to John Kukich Jr. (R.I.P. John)

oh my this is so heartfelt. Sorry for your loss. My son is almost 40. this week he lost his best friend from high school and is coming home for one day just for the funeral, a closed service. It's so sad when ones we love so much are gone.

Dear Charles, even though I didn't know John- I can feel him through your words. His memory lives. I understand how you feel, as friends of mine were killed by a truck driver. A man, his wife and the twin girls they adopted. This was an accident, but still- it is hard to understand why such things happen. Your thoughts caress gently around me. Healing hugs, Brandy

What a great tribute to John, Charles. So sad that he is gone and in such a tragic circumstances. Last nite on TV I so a show about monarchs - one of God's most beautiful creatures. Glad you enjoyed the Haunted House write. My dear wife Vera had similar spooky experiences as a child and stories of such that she entertained our family with. Take good care - Bob
