As the light peeks through
7am, sound asleep next to me you once laid.
Now I’m up all night, in this lonely bed I made
The same question racks my brain,..every time I see the sun
What made myself feel the need,..to go and jump the gun
People tend to believe things always happen for a reason
And I can’t help but to think that reason, was just selfish self-treason.
The thought of you, disrupts my breath.
Then quickly wanders to the day of our “death”.
I just wish there were things I could say or do.
To get that 7am back next to you,..as the light peeks through
