As the Door Closes

As the door closes
Earthly aromas much like roses
Sour spirits burning sage
As the lone bird escapes the cage
Victims of many pains
Prisoner of many chains
Spreading wings
Winds take flight
With the end
Of the horizon in sight

I find your little poem most appealing, Eric - Very nicely done! My best regards. :) John P.s A seven.
