As Tears Go By (Revised By I)
It is the evening of the day.
I sit and watch the children play.
Smiling faces I can see,
but not on me.
I sit and watch, as tears go by.
My riches can't buy everything.
I can't find joy in anything.
I used to find simple pleasure in the sound
of rain falling on the ground.
Now I just sit a watch, as tears go by.
Depression is a worthy adversary.
Depression has taken everything from me.
I'm simply here to simply exist
to reminisce of they I've lost and miss
for the rest of my life, as tears go by.
I do not honor their memory.
I mourn and miss them all selfishly.
They are forever gone and I can't let them go,
and so I know my life will continue on so.
My life will go on, as tears go by.
