As Long As You Fly
Appreciate
The blessings all around us
Though it seems there far below
When the trials take your car to tow
Remember
That there’s always tomorrow
To steal, to give, to borrow
From those that break the sorrow
You’ve touched me in ways you’ll never see
Beyond the blessings of tomorrow
Beyond the bright blue sea
You have endeared my every being
Not for once ever seeing
The flaws that dare to crush the marrow
The tears that dare to deepen my sorrow
And now you’re crushed
So listen
To the music that has inspired us
To the poem I attempt to sew
When the vultures attack and overthrow
And never forget
What you mean to me
For my love will not dry
As long as you fly
And are new
