As Long As We Are Together

As we drove away all I could think
as my heart plunged and began to sink
Was how all I wanted was to be closer to you
Because there was something special between me and you
Something so refreshing and new
Something that sticks to me like glue
This feeling of warmth and security
My heart sinks when we part
Since this very start I have had fear
And more than once shed a tear
For knowing my past is on my heels
So many broken hearts and bad deals
Yet I trust you completely
And baby now believe me
I no longer fear you and me
I no longer fear time and distance
And in an instance
I begin to ponder my heart for love
And what we are really made of
Then I relize does it really matter?
As long as we are together.
