Notes About The Poem

Author's Notes: "As Liquid Fire Melts," is a collaborated poem that Liam McDaid and I completed together on April 21, 2016. This particular couplet is replete with very rich and emotive imagery. It is also one from whence both of us crafted, we believe, some very moving verses celebrating the warmth of love and beauty in one's life, and that very special moment when a person finds his or her soul mate so they can share their love unconditionally. We likened the actual theme -- "as liquid fire melts" -- to be that touchstone by which each of us seek to find our real emotions, our unconditional love for that special person in our life, and our ultimate path and destiny to God. Love is indeed eternal, and so are the starlight whispers of angels true! (Gary Bateman - April 23, 2016) (Unrhymed Couplet)

As Liquid Fire Melts

As liquid fire melts with twinkling sunshine in your eyes, 
Opening wings now embrace deeply all of my true emotions.

Feeling the warmth of your beating heart now fluttering so,
I see a radiant chain of daisies growing in the deep green grass.
 
Every choice I have ever made throughout my long life,
Has led me now to you at this very special moment in time. 

Beholding ivory silk starlight whispers of Heavenly angels true, 
I have now a clear vision of my life, my fate, and my destiny. 

Becoming the richest person in this giant, lonely world—
Means finding you and sharing our love unconditionally.

All real emotions we have beholding in this life of ours,
Are part of that God-given sensitivity from the Almighty.

Truly, as liquid fire melts beyond in great stars of the cosmos,
I think of you, our love, and the starlight whispers of angels true!

I invite you to read any of my other poems as you have time to do so. Liam and I have done a series of co-writes over time since 2014. Many of those co-writes appeared in my first book of poetry published in April 2015, under the title: "Conversations with My Muse." My second book planned for next year is one which will feature a full-length Novella and a collection of short stories and flash-fiction writes.
