As If To Find You There
Your notes ignite my heart
Like an archer with a dart
I follow you down each and every hall
Look beneath each drape and around each chilly wall
I strangle in the night
with the longing and the fright
My fingers trace the air
as if to find you there…
My heart weeps n sweeps with the willow
I long with breadth and curtain billow
like the full white hearted sail at sea
Do you not also.... long for me?
Your song seems to say its so
I must find you...this much I know
My soul has truly taken flight
in an arching flow of golden light
stretching out to find your own
pining for a home and throne…
where we can always be as one
and our song …be never done
Your voice it fills the space
of my being and this place
Oh love …let not this song be stilled
but stir on in me ...this breathless thrill
You have become the obsession of my day and night
the love I need ...a so perfect ...so right
Keep not in shadow...please ..Oh my adored
that our love can finally reach.. the highest chord
and stretch out long in song across the sea
to the place where such things ...can always be
