As I Walk Along With Jesus

AS I WALK ALONG WITH JESUS

Oh, what joy has filled my life as I walk along with Jesus,
For one day I came to Him and He saved my soul.
Though there may be pains and strife as I walk along with Jesus,
He gives victory o’er each one when He takes control.
Oh, I know I could never earn all the love to me He shows,
But He simply says, “Just trust Me, and more grace I will bestow.”
So I’ll press for greater heights as I walk along with Jesus,
And I know I’ll always be secure in His fold.

Oh, what peace dwells there within as I walk along with Jesus,
For I know that if I fail, He still will forgive.
He will cleanse away my sin and I’ll walk along with Jesus;
Every day my life for Him I gladly will live.
Oh, I know I could never tell all the things He means to me,
But I’ll praise His name forever since His blood has set me free.
And each day I spend my life as I walk along with Jesus,
His great hand will guide my way to heaven my goal.

These words written to “In The Chapel In The Moonlight.”
