As I Lay Me Down
Now I lay me down to sleep
I realize my day is incomplete,
for I am not beside my sweet,
since her days far from complete.
I dream our love we’ll forever keep!
Sweet memories of you creep
through my mind as I fall asleep
as with our love, my rest is deep.
If I shall die before I wake,
know it was not from heartache.
You’ll be the last thought I make
allowing my forever easier to take.
I pray our love will never break.
Loss of my touch may be hard to take.
know my love of you all was never fake,
your love of me I will never forsake.
