“I believe God gave His only Son, so that I might live by his word without fear.”
                                                                                   The poet.

No heralding angles to prepare for his birth
No regal setting for he, to be king of the earth.
God’s Son born in a lowly animal’s manger.
From Herod’s all baby boys born were in danger

Jesus, though Son of God, King of Kings and Lord of lords,
God had him live as an ordinary man not needing swords.
He did not live in a palace, in luxury with riches galore,
No jeweled crown when with the people, lepers or at tax collector’s door.

He taught the people including children about mercy and love.
They believed as He performed miracles by the power of God above.
He walked on water, He made the blind see and the lame walk,
And thousands came to gather and listen just to hear him talk.

Once when faced with a dilemma not to go against the law of the day,
Saving an adulteress from being stoned, He stated come who may,
And the one without sin should be the one to cast the first stone.
Soon as He knew would happen, the woman and He stood alone.

His Father had sent his only Son to be a leader to all mankind.
Jesus had many followers, soon he must leave his earthly life behind.
By dying on the cross, Jesus took the punishment we deserve,
and offered us His righteousness if His word we observe.
