Artistically Diseased

Yes I am bipolar, though to me it’s not a curse. My life could have been different, it could have been much worse. I don’t perceive my disease, as a curse, rather, it's a gift. For it illuminates my senses, and that artistic desired lift. Many are forced to succumb, believing they cannot succeed. My outlook is just the opposite, all expectations I will exceed. So when you think it’s over, and your mind has taken a toll. Remember that “gift” inside of you, is one you completely control!

The highs are unbelievable as we can see and do so much more than others... yet the damage is so terrible when I strike... I take my meds religiously and change them up often to stay ahead of the curve... it seems to be working... still have lows, but no over-the-top outbursts for two years now. - Inspiring for those of us who know what a true panic attack is... (it really gets my goat when I see others fake one as it diminishes the belief of others in our terrible reality... Great work. - Mike

Bipolar one often a misunderstood disease....I have a theory maybe it's related more to the negativity and positive energies around that one is sensitive to and must learn to shield from.....maybe? But anyway I've been reading your poetry, and I rather like it. Best wishes, Sara
