Artistic Or Insane

let's get aggressively visual
talk about some side effects
but not overly abysmal
just a few curious defects
       of being deeply passionate
       and emotionally energetic
       spiritually compassionate
       and yet mentally generic
a colorful sliced open
bleeding drops of rainbows on the floor
not really truly broken
but not quite whole anymore
       an intricate decorative mural
       painted on an ancient soul
       sharp lines and graceful curl
       pure beauty its ultimate goal
a brightly glowing mind
bound by chain and padlock
cells with lanterns trying to find
a way out of perpetual shock
        all three joining forces
creating a progressive work of art
        blood of inspiration courses
giving life to a startling start

I never got into the Rocky Horror thing, but I love how you rocked this poem, the lines are intense, they flow intensely with rhythmic beat in a perfectly appealing way. A joy to read because of flow and content and wham - wham lines! CayCay

Was this rhetorical? Just kidding, this very artfully done!

I think it's all in how we see things and how others perceive what we create or what they create. Everything, I'm sure has a meaning, even if just a blob of green paint in the center of a huge white canvas...it means something to some one......................Just a guess, Rocky Horror Picture Show?

Yep, Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love a good "late night double feature picture show by R.K.O" lol
