Art is better than life It is generous, it is rife It is not eternal strife Art is better than life Art is a kind of escape That covers you with silk drape And has a lovely shape Art is a kind of escape Art is not merely life`s substitution It is the only solution For our confusion and disillusion Art is not merely life`s substitution Art is more than life`s imitation It is our inspiration And salvation Art is more than life`s imitation
