Arrogance

This disease form whence it came
We have no inkling
It came with wealth and evil fame
I pity those who come to thinking
That they are the center of time and place
And everyone will bow in respect
They befriend reflections of their face
That is their one and only aspect

When their world falls apart because of mistake
They will not ask for others’ help
They will say pride is at stake!
They will not ask for others’ help

This disease from whence it came
I still am thinking.
