Around and Around

Over in the blackberry patch June bugs are a-hummin' Dad and children have been pickin' Winter, It's a-comin' Time to go home; jobs done June bug is caught in flight For the children to have some fun Before supper tonight String on June bug with child on end Hold on tight; stay on legs, Around and around fast they go "My turn," the child begs Quickly the children become tired And the June bug is freed-- Shaken unharmed return's home' To the berries with speed Happy and laughing the children All fall to the ground, Told how they and the June bug Went around and around The thoughts of work and play have changed Within memories time, My mind goes around and 'round in June bug and berry rhyme -E. "Around and Around" is a fun memory especially when the blackberry picking was on a misty, rainy day.
