Army of Agony

Tired and trembling
I lead the army of my emotions
through heartache, despair and cigarette burns
Burning into tender flesh
Like that all too familiar
Betrayal
Despair finds me even in my sleep
My soldiers scatter
they go rougue
Things I want to say only make me insecure
To tell you is to drop the grenade
at my own feet
This is a war
Behind closed doors
The secret life of my thriving agony
evolves and grows so large
It consumes every part of me
