Arithmesai
“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” Isa 49:16
When we do the arithmetic
Of the numbers to be saved,
We cannot possibly count the number—
Millions or billions engraved.
In the palms of Jesus’ hands
He lovingly holds them all.
Will you be among this number
When your dear Lord calls?
The Heavenly Holy City
Must hold each and every one;
There’ll be no sunlight
For our light will be “God’s Son”.
Will we live on wafers
Like the Israelites and Moses?
Will there be gardens
Full of beautiful, fragrant roses?
Let’s help God above
To increase heaven’s population
Of those found in his kingdom
From every single nation.
We must tell each acquaintance
That the Lord is coming soon.
May the numbers saved
Simply make our heads swoon.
