Arises

From "Modern Love And Other Poems"

A butterfly touched me
	With its silken fingers
And told me to close my eyes,
	Because she would reveal me
A secret!.
And once I closed my eyes
And opened my mouth to ask
	Who was she?
But she reached back at once
With her wet wings and left me there
Trembling as a fool!
