Arise

So many words of disbelief
For everything I see
Best to let silence have its way
Best to just let it be

So many people lack resolve
They can’t see through the door
Just getting kicked whilst they are down
Now they are blinded on the floor

So many songs for what we feel
I find it’s the purest way to heal
Now that I know, I choose this state
I choose what this loneliness reveals

I just learnt to crawl away
I stopped caring what they’d say
I learnt how to centre hope
I only pray you’ll find your day

So many warnings and mistakes
Such complicated stakes
But if you rise up out the door
We’ll find that love is all it takes
