Are You Content?

When the world is free from famine
When the world is free from war
When the world is safe to live in
Then I’ll fear no more.

When we’ve got rid of hunger
And when we’ve got rid of pain
When the world is a home to the innocent
Then I’ll be proud again.

Are you content with slavery?
Are you content with war?
Are you content with the way things are run?
Corruption and hatred galore.

We know there is no easy walk
To a world of love and peace
But we will fight and pay our way
Yes, all the wretched fees.

One by one,
All suffering must end
No one should live in a world of fear
Work with me my friend.

Are you content with hunger?
Are you content with greed?
Are you content to see children suffer?
Well let’s give them what they need.

It’s going to be a long task
To my this world our home,
But we will not give up hope
We’ll make this place our own.
