Are You a Tortoise, Hare Or Man?
Inherent in nature is the need to survive
From bugs to the beasts, they must stay alive
They consume as they will and live day to day
They do much to thrive in their own unique way
Inherent in man is the need to survive
But different from nature, don’t do much to thrive
They walk through each day, being ever betwixt
Not trying real hard, just here to exist
I say we should all, from the animals, try
To better our lives, before we all die
It’s worth it, to be better, be nicer, be kind
Or in the race to be saved, be left behind
