Are Weddings Only For the Young

Are weddings only for the young
   Dancing up a storm
Limber in sleek outfits
   Graceful in their form

Older folks gaze wistfully
   Perchance they are quite jealous
Recalling bygone celebrations
Sealed in tears they will not tell us...

They are for all of us, as a reminder that commitment is fantastic. But of course, all those other weddings come to our mind as we watch the young ones in their glorious dancing bodies.

Hi Gershon, Weddings are for the young and old. Of each group has to pick their own dj lol! I enjoyed the read:-) Alexis

I pick only one wedding DJ, actually: Bobby May for the young and the 'old' too! Smiles, Gershon

Not sure the younger days are better. Fun to live through the eyes of the young. Nice one, Gershon!

Ha, ha! At the kosher weddings I attend, rubber chicken and hard rice are 'staples.' LOL. (It's not really that bad; sometimes it's actually edible. LOL, again). At any rate, I only go for the friendships involved... ~ Rub-a-dub-dub; thanks for the grub
