Are We Dreaming?

Suppose that when you fall asleep
you really just awake,
and all the things we think are real
are nothing but a fake,
maybe we just look at things
the other way around,
for of the two there's not a lot
of difference to be found,
you wake up in the morning
your dreams all fade away,
you go to sleep at night
and you don't recall today,
on waking some remember
meeting someone who is dead,
but when asleep you never dream
you're tucked up home in bed,
like negative and positive
both sides need one another,
but sometimes it is difficult
to tell one from the other.
