Aquamarine

Aquamarine I've seen the sea:

I've seen the me that used to be.

Standing at the oceans shore:

Afraid to re-open that door.

Aquamarine I've seen what the rain has to bring.

The one true king reigns above.

I must learn to love.

I've asked the dove to bring you my prayers.

It's hard to tear away from old habits,

But you ordered me to conquer my fears.

Aquamarine I pin all my hopes & dreams on you.

I need to take the time to realize the magnitude of things.

My eyes cry for something true:

My tears reveal nothing but mirrors;

Reflections of me reflecting you .

Aquamarine I dream of green, but blue is what I find in you.

You appear in a pillar of cloud.

I scream my prayers into the sky.

Dreams flow into the sea, back to you Aquamarine.
