April's Trees

April's trees wear winter's clothes Branches bare from tops to toes Mocking lawns turned brilliant green Unabashed by leaves unseen

This is a very clever and observant write. My trees are just now beginning to bud. I've got some green patches but my lawn isn't that green yet. Good job here. God Bless, JB

I am thrilled to let you know that in Kansas my trees have "shed their winter clothes"

Really good one, Gershon. And, so true! I see my dogwood still has no leaves, but the grass in the lawn is well-past first mowing time. Strange!

Me, too. In Chicago, the new buds are still few and far between, unfortunately...
