April Is Poetry Month
I've done this differently
read it's supposed to be a poem a day,
I have penned more in a week
writer's block is kept at bay.
I've penned more in the past few days
to keep me going all month long,
I can't seem to stop the words
my brain isn't steering me wrong.
I am a poet
I have things to say,
extremely overwhelmed, but happy
to keep the writer's block at bay.

I completely forgot that April was poetry month until almost a week ago. That didn't matter to me though, because I was writing a poem and more than one poem a day. I think I'm more than caught up.
