Appreciate

What do you have
Do you know
Sometimes we don't see
Blindfolded, maybe

Our journey through this life
Brings many things
New and familiar faces
Different places

Experiences through our lives
Will all leave their mark
From some happiness is the gain
From others intense pain

Some people quickly come and go
Others stay, and feelings grow
Some will be like gold
On to them you will want to hold

In the moment how do we know
The treasures that are ours
Like delicate flowers
In ivory towers

Time passes on
What you have will be gone
Never to be replaced
It feels like a waste

Live in the moment
Love what you have
Be grateful for your treasure
It won't be yours forever
