Appliance Colors

Looking at appliances (My fridge is on the fritz) I noticed there are trends to which Each company commits. For kitchen items mostly come In silver stainless steel, A modern look that to my taste Does not have much appeal. I like refrigerators That are plain and simply white, Though finding one to fit has been A disappointing plight. At last a few have surfaced Which is cause for some bravado Yet I’d settle for the stainless More than gold* or avocado*! *popular appliance colors in the 1960’s

My choice is white or stainless steel, though my fridge is a gaudy canary yellow – it came with the apartment; when it conks out I'll get another (same color) without charge. I've learned to keep my mouth shut. / M

Nice read ilene. It made me smile. The main issue I have with my kitchen is the number of 'beeps' that emanate from in there.. and wondering whether it's the microwave, fridge, dishwasher, etc etc..

Avocado was nice. Watching “The Middle”, I enjoyed the avocado appliances.

So well-penned, Ilene, … and it certainly IS hard to find a white refrigerator these days... I guess you'll just have to hang around for another 20 - 25 years or so 'till they're back in vogue. LOL. I wish you double that many years, and all in good health!! Cheers, Gershon

I can relate to your poem on so many levels:-) Its amazing how fashion trends change, I much prefer the white fridges - ours is a cream type colour but I notice many now are silver. Hugs Jan xx

That was funny Ilene, the poem and your note. The fact that you had to define that those final colors were actually popular at one time really made me laugh.
