Apple Butter Jam

spread thick and smooth on crusty bread a warmth that lingers softly said from apples ripe with autumn’s care a spice-laced story lingers there the pot would bubble steam would rise as time would brew its sweet disguise cinnamon whispers nutmeg sighs a comfort born beneath cool skies each spoonful holds a season’s glow the orchard’s gift a quiet show oh simple joys a timeless balm in apple butter’s tender calm (got some for Christmas whoot whoot)
