Appease of Heart

Denial of possession Of that to which I'm drawn My heavy heart sinks through regression A king reduced to pawn Sifting through them for a lesson Splintered pieces all but gone Something of an obsession As blinding darkness wanes to dawn Few shards remain - no question Heaven sings their song Still, I'd trade this fragile blessing To someone I belong
