Apparently This Is Necessary
I should clarify that it’s not all the time
But the only way I know how to express is in rhyme
I’m not always bleak, not always blue
Just when the sunshine doesn’t filter through
“Hormonal imbalance,” they say, “you’ll be okay”
And, “Oh, are you having an... off... day?”
I should clarify that it’s tricky to tell
Sometimes I get angry, I cry, or I yell
And I don’t even realize that something’s not right
I hardly know that I’m losing the fight
And pretty soon tears begin to flow down
(I’m definitely the biggest mess around town)
Also, I should clarify that it’s not every day
Because some days we manage to keep clouds away.
I’m not always sad, you know this is true,
Ask yourself... don't I act happy when I'm with you?
