Apartment 2646

It was the way
my leg felt against
the cold rail of the
sofa bed that
made stars tickle
the tip of my tongue

and it was the way
a dare can stop a heart
that made my skin
tingle as you closed
your eyes not knowing

and it's the way
you felt me with
such tenderness
and strength
together
that made me
crave you so

it was the way
your bitten mouth
danced with the
music to a song
I know by heart and
wandered the valleys
without
leaving evidence
of ever being there
