Any Cheap Whisky Will Do
I cant stand the man I am
My restless mind needs to be calm
I refuse to be so blue
Any cheap whisky will do
The wife took off and is long gone
She blocked my number on her phone
We had once loved each other true
Now any cheap whisky will do
I was never big at making money
But how small is a bee and how sweet is honey?
I don’t need a magnifying glass to give me a clue
Any cheap whisky will do
Am not famous and I don’t need to be
Fame is overrated and it comes with a high fee
They may drink champagne, they; the who’s who
For me any cheap whisky will do
Mighty men may conquer the world and get drunk with power
I would rather be just a simple man, rejoicing in his happy hour
Anyone can forget the world and just be as happy too
Any cheap whisky will do
A little bed and a little nice warm meal
As long as I earned it and did not steal
Is all I want everyday before my life is through
Plus any cheap whisky will do
Someday my world will fall apart
Before then I want to use up all my heart
Sharing a drink with friends and telling them “I love you”
And any cheap whisky will do
I am tired of waking everyday struggling to find my way
Living is such hard work, now i need my play
I must go out more even if its just the zoo
After that any cheap whisky will do
Life is a just game of getting by
I cant get by without getting high
Happiness is my only pursue
And any cheap whisky will do
