Anxiety Screams

silence shattered
slaughtered schemes
bloodied corpses clawed
adulation bathed in screams

struggles strip flailing flesh
torment taunts with reeling stench
faces drawn are mirrored pain
painted with a Picasso’s strain

I fled the picture frame
not fit to follow the rules
and beat the Satanist schools
that raged to wedge me in
their sadistically sculpted skin

over the years that have passed
I have settled and see at last
a square peg in a rounded hole
robust sturdy and hailed whole
