Anxiety

Call me to write down an answer And I do it without fail. But ask me to stand and explain my choice And I turn weak and frail. My breath is racing, My words are shaking. Ask me to lead a group And I quiver. Ask me to go on my own And I feel no failure. Put me in a crowd And find me shaking from ever loud Mocking voices. I'm useless now. I'm not who I was. I'm no longer she who possesses bravery And it's because of my anxiety.
