Anxiety

When it's your hand which starts trembling, And it's your brow which starts sweating, When all of the strength in your feet is waning, And all of the sudden your legs start shivering. When all of them watch you closely, Your every move they notice intently, Then is your world and that one opportunity, There's nothing left unachieved beyond that anxiety.

My husband suffers from this and I have written of it as the Night Snake! I feel it once in a while on first awakening. A dread in the pit of my stomach, so in those times I can relate to those with anxiety. Just glad I don'T really suffer from it. Good poem.
