Anticipating 32

Wearing silent headphones
Sitting to the side
Running from the sinning monster
Just trying to get by
God is in His Heavens and
He still talks to me
But I don't always listen
Too busy yearning to be free
How blind could one girl or woman be in the state of His grace?
Counting years with smiles and tears that He is sure to see

God's always paved the way
I am blessed because
I've lived to rejoice another day

1976 seems so far in the past
I look back
But only see the last
Memory
Too clear
It haunts and rips and sighs
Breaking the mirror
And I am still left here wondering
What next?
God knows
But as of yet I have not received this year's happy birthday text!

Don't anticipate, live and enjoy every freakin' moment. Gotta be a little crazy, have a little fun, never take life too seriously, it's only the first part of the journey. Wonderful write, Autumn. God Bless. Vince

This is wonderful. I have always learned to keep expecting the great expectation. It will come one day out of somewhere. God is always looking and will take care of those who trust Him. I like the essence of the poem. Great job! ~Joseph
