It's an anthem for the heart
All those crazy emotions
That tear it all apart
This is not a love song
It's an anthem for your soul
Try to choose true love
'Cos it's the love that makes you whole
Whenever you get down
Remember that you've got you
You need to be your best friend
The love of your life too
Not in a vain fashion
But self-love and acceptance true
You need to love yourself first
Before you can ask others to do it too
This is not a love song
It's an anthem for the heart

Try to choose true love

Learn to know yourself best
Understand your soul
Learn to work through things
Before they get out of control
We all need healing
Everyone's a mess
No one has it all together
So be gentle with your quest
