Answered Prayer

Brokenness is nothing new to me
Life without hope is all I've seen
This road I've walked upon called life
This is my war, this is my fight
But through the pain, God gave me beauty through the rain

Oh baby can you please tell me what's on your mind
I truly believe God created our paths to intertwine
You are something different, something beautiful inside 
The very thoughts of you makes my heart come alive 
I don't know what the future holds 
But I want to spend it with you as our lives unfold
One promise I can swear
Baby I don't want to lose this answered prayer

I'm not the easiest person to love 
I often forget my worth from up above 
I'll push people away because I think I deserve the pain
I guess it's easier than you think to be content in chains
But I've learned that it's selfish to think I'm not enough 
When so many people offer me their love
