Another's Shoes
Your opinion is requested.
You give your consent.
Misunderstanding is suggested;
Assumptions about what was meant---
This is the way humans are bent.
Unique in what we perceive,
In our experiences, what we do,
And what we believe.
What is right or true?
Different person, different view.
There are more thoughts to infuse---
To our own biases we are prone.
When you try to “put yourself into another’s shoes,”
You are still wearing your own!
Incorporating what is personally known.
