Anothers Name

As my sweetheart slept
She spoke anothers name.
In the dark, I quietly wept
How could things stay the same.

Perhaps she was only dreaming
But it cut me to the core,
To hear her speak anothers name
My heart, it hit the floor.

I dreaded, but longed for her to wake
Should I tell her what she said.
My heart was close to breaking,
As we lay there, on our bed.
