Another Yesterday Gone

Blankets of mist surround the air
Birds start singing their song
A new dawn arises, a new day begins
Another yesterday gone

Remembering your sweet loving voice
Your body close to mine
Your whispered words and tender touch
I wish could be frozen in time

If love can cross the skies, and
Find the soul that it once knew
Then take my hand in yours
So I can walk again with you

In my world of silent tears
I whisper out your name
Hoping somewhere in the dark
Your heart still feels the same

Although I feel you with me
In life I'm all alone
Lost and stumbling
Down a lonely road I've never known

Nights I lay here thinking
In my sleepless solitude
Grasping, clinging to a past
That doesn't let me choose

My shattered heart's still bleeding
The pain too much to bear
I know I can't be mended
I'm broken beyond repair

Please don't leave me here
For I'm so lost without your love
I'm ready to go with you now
Through the gates of Heaven above...
